Building a road profile

Print Previous page Top page Next page

tracca The mode is intended for building a profile of the projected railroad track.

After activating the mode, it is necessary to select an object on the map - a road track (any linear object). To ensure the execution of the mode, it is necessary that at the moment of object selection the map contains a matrix of heights and the selected object has been provided with information about the height throughout its entire length (the entire object must lie on the matrix of heights).

After selecting the object, a dialog box with the constructed profile appears. During the initial construction of the profile, the image of the Plan of road (Outline) is not formed. This is due to the fact that the process of forming the Plan of road for extended objects can take a considerable time, and when the horizontal scale or the width of the plan image stripe is changed, it will be rebuilt. Therefore, it is recommended at first, if necessary, set the required values and only then turn on building the Plan of road on the «Building»  bookmark.

The object composition of the Road Plan image corresponds to the object contents of a source map (changed by setting the view contents), including taking into account the scale range of objects visibility on the map in relation to the specified horizontal scale of building the profile. Changing other parameters does not lead to rebuilding of the road plan image.

The dialog box of the mode includes the image of the built profile directly, a line of tool buttons and a set of service bookmarks on which various parameters of the procedure execution are grouped.

The profile display window has standard image controls: moving with the pressed left mouse button, scrolling by rotating the mouse wheel (pressing the Shift key - horizontal scrolling), scaling by rotating the mouse wheel while holding down the Ctrl key.

By pressing Ctrl_W a positioning of all map in a window is carried out.

The toolbar contains the following buttons:

tracca_panel

1. All map in window

2. Redraw image

3. Position the source map (synchronize the position of the source map with the current position of the center of the profile image

4. Display the page layout

5. Save profile image

6. Save statistics by profile parameters

The Build service bookmark contains the parameters for building a profile image:

- horizontal and vertical scales of the image;

- step of interpolation of the relief surface;

- trace step (distance between adjacent edge marks);

- distance between pickets;

- step of kilometer marks;

- the value of the maximum allowable slope of the route;

- type of building the design profile: 1 - by interpolating the surface at regular intervals, specified by the parameter «Project (km)», 2 - smoothing of a surface line.

In addition, this bookmark enables the construction of the Plan of road, the display of bridges and tunnels on the profile, and the inclusion of statistics into the profile image.

Displaying bridges and tunnels on a profile is possible only after building the Route Plan. The list of objects (a list of code keys from the map classifier) participating in the construction of the profile image is specified in the corresponding lists on the «Statistics» bookmark. Minor bridges are involved in the formation of general statistics, but are not taken into account when building the design profile.

On the Styles bookmark, you can adjust the table row sizes, select a font for the main captions, and select a color for displaying actual and project data.

Profile offset - distance from the Road plan image to the minimum mark of a surface.

On the Publishing bookmark, you can adjust the page sizes of the final document.

You can save the image in one of the following formats: SITX, JPEG, PNG, TIF, PDF. When you save an image in SITX format, the all map is saved, without division into pages. When saving to PDF format, one multi-page document is formed. When saving to other formats, a set of files is created, and the postfixes «_01»,  «_02», etc. are added to the specified file name according to the page number.
