Design objects of a map

Print Previous page Top page Next page

Design objects are auxiliary objects in the RSC digital classifier, which serve to improve the readability of conventional signs on the map, but are not terrain objects. For example: painting of intersections of roads, the filling signs for polygons when printing, and the like. When viewing information in the «Information about object" dialog (button on the main panel), design objects are automatically skipped. When selecting objects at a point, design objects are skipped if the «Skip decoration objects" property is not disabled in the Options menu. This allows the operator to immediately turn to the description of the required terrain object, reducing the number of manual operations.

To transfer an object into the category of design objects, the «Design object" property is set in the «Classifier Editor" task in the «Objects" tab on the properties panel in the «Others" tab.

Design objects can be mapped as clones of the objects being designed with the formation of a link onto the metric of other objects.
