Scales of visibility of classifier objects

One of advantages of digital maps before paper maps is the flexible system of displaying. Digital maps can be submitted in different scales, color design, conventional symbols, etc.

However, when the increased conventional symbols are applying (inevitably at the low permission of screens) or compression of the image is doing (at scaling) separate objects can cover each other, what worsens visual perception of a map.

For improvement of readership of digital map the complex of the measures is applied, which are carrying out generalization of a map  - the automated influence on appearance (style) and contents of objects.

One of criteria of generalization is visibility of object in the certain scale of map displaying. Aggregate of lower and upper border of a range for scales of displaying at which the object will be seen, makes up borders of object visibility.

Borders of visibility can be set for object style (a wood, a lake, a footpath, etc.) at creation of the digital classifier of works region and to be redefined for concrete object (if necessary) by means of the editor of digital map.

By default the specified borders are including into a range of visibility of the classifier objects.

The user can change the given rule, having specified to include or to not include the top or bottom border of visibility. It allows in particular to substitute a kind of objects on different scales.
