Classifier of an digital map is an aggregate of the description of layers of a vector map, styles of objects and their conventional symbols, kinds of semantic characteristics and the values, accepted by them, submitted in a digital kind.

Descriptions of layers, objects, semantic characteristics and some kinds of characteristics values   should contain a digital code.

Conventional symbols of objects can be submitted in two kinds:

- for displaying map on the screen;

- for output of a map to printers.

If description of symbols for printing map is not entered into the classifier, the screen view of symbols  will be used at printing.

For review a map in printer symbols on the screen the corresponding map view is set through the main menu of the application.

The map classifier in a digital kind is stored in RSC file. RSC file is located in one directory with a vector map or in the common directory of classifiers.

The way to the common directory of classifiers is set in INI - file of system in [DATAPATH] section in  " Rsc = " line.

In this case some maps from different directories can apply one classifier. Any change in the classifier will be displayed on all maps.

Classifier editor can be called from the list of applied tasks, and also through  menu, emerging by the right button in Map Legend task or Select Object dialog.
