Loading data from an OSM file is a two-step process. First, the file is pre-read and statistics are collected. In the process of preliminary reading of data, information is collected about the number of nodes, arcs and relations contained in the input file, the calculation of the required memory volumes and its reservation is performed.

During the data import process, the input data is processed and the primary non-decoded map is formed. A map is formed with the _in postfix to the name of the input file with the SIT extension.

All objects in the formed map have service codes and contain all attributes in accordance with the classifier. If there is no corresponding attribute (semantics) which is present in the input data (tag) in the classifier, this tag is ignored.

Fatal errors detected in the process of control and correction of the metric are recorded in the error log.
