Satellite farming

The section Satellite farming contains dialogs of loading and viewing of values of vegetation indexes for objects from the «Passport of the field» dialog or from a map in the main program window. The obtained matrixes of vegetation indexes and averaged NDVI values can be used for analysing the amount of biomass for the purpose of making administrative decisions in agriculture.

The database Panorama AGRO and the GIS Server or the user's local disk act as a data storage.

Satellite monitoring of fields is based on calculation of vegetative indexes and the comparative analysis of numerical values of vegetative indexes on various time samples. The technology of satellite monitoring includes obtaining the vegetation indices and analysis of vegetation indices.

For use of functions of satellite monitoring, all fields should be registered by web service. Registration is made at the first starting of any mode on object or by means of the mode «Register field in Geosys web-service» .
